Submission Guidelines:
If you write poetry, we’re really happy about that, but this isn’t the place to send it. We’re looking for short stories, up to around 5000 words. We’ll read stories a bit longer, but the interweb is simply no place for novellas. If you’re a flash-shortshort-blaster writer, feel free to send us a few stories, especially if they’re interconnected and we can publish them all in one go. You can attach a cover letter if you’d like, but do us a favor and make it short and enjoyable – we don’t care about the 50 places you’ve been published, so just scratch those name-dropping exercises out. Feel free to include the Horseman that you would like your story tied to, but we reserve the right to resort your story under a different heading if we think it fits better. We have no idea how long it will take to get back to you, but if it’s over three months and you haven’t heard from us, just email and we’ll clear it all up. Also, read the stories and, if we do choose you, we’ll ask that you get all your friends and family and twitterites and facebookers to read the story to – the whole you-scratch-us-we-scratch-you thing is crucial to the literary world.
